My work focuses on the constant stream of content fed through online platforms in a discombobulated yet harmonious arrangement. As content is tailored to individual preferences based on algorithms, viewing often appears to be completely nonsensical. It may seem that the mass-majority of us are being engulfed into a hyper-reality of meaningless engagement, which has massively shifted the sentiment of our own reality and virtual time.
I have created a stop-motion animation, which breaks free from online social constructs and the aesthetics of media culture. I deconstruct all sense of a complete human form through traditional stop-motion techniques, alongside modern editing equipment and software. The use of ultra-key and green-screen technology has enabled me to finesse a particular style, individual to my own practice, and maintain a professional standard of quality throughout.
