I focus on social and political issues that we are faced with in everyday society, specifically how my life has changed as an EU citizen in post-Brexit Britain. Using a variety of mediums, I aim to create drawings and videos that form a series of ‘one man’ protests, elevating specific interpretations of certain situations.COVID-19 has put the world on hold. Like many artists, I have adapted my practice and am currently working on an artist book for my degree show piece. Wouldn’t it be amazing if the work we all make in these uncertain times is remembered as a fight we took through history, documenting how our lives were changed. This work is for the people we have lost, and is symbolic of the strength we gained as a community that stood 2 metres apart but remained hand-in-hand.
