My portfolio highlights my collection 'A Galactic Nomad', which has been inspired by my interest in technology and how fast this is developing, especially within the fashion industry. Our world is becoming more digital from gaming to clothing and my collection explores what the future of fashion will be like. Pixelated prints and graphics represent a 'digital skin', taking inspiration from glitch like graphics, virtual reality and CGI models. With the future in mind, my work also incorporates an upcycling aspect as sustainability is not only key for our future, but something I am passionate about. Reusing charity shop clothes in interesting ways and using end of roll fabrics, creates the silhouette for my collection, which has also been inspired by Nomads. Layering, patchwork, quilting, knitwear, digital and screen printing are key textiles that form my collection, which represent 'A Galactic Nomad'
My portfolio also highlights my CAD skills, Photoshop/Illustrator/InDesign skills, Textile skills and Fashion forward thinking abilities.
