Social Encounters in Morecambe Bay
MA Fine Art Interim Show

I believe there are rich pickings to be had in Morecambe Bay. Covid has provided the time frame for me to explore the area thoroughly. The promanade has become my playground. I make visual representations based on people that I have encountered whilst walking; I write accompanying narratives, with the aim to use them as a vehicle to expose current, social and political concerns in Morecambe. To make them more palatable I deliver them with a twist of humour to soften the blow. It is important that my work can be viewed across a range of locations and is accessible to all. By choosing installation, as my preferred way of working, means that the viewer is able to enter a space and have the opportunity, through art, to connect with others.
